NIVA (Northern Indiana Volleyball Association) is a volleyball club that serves players in the Michiana area from 3rd through 12th grade.  We offer rec and travel programs for boys and girls!

Adria has been involved with this volleyball club since 2004. She has been a travel coach for the 16s, 17s and 18s. She took over as the director of travel after her third year with the club. She took over as a director/owner after her 7th year with the club.  

As director, she is in charge of all the day-to-day operations, coaches, feeder programs, high school club, the travel program, social media and communications,  AAU/JVA memberships and fees. She also coaches the 17 Purple travel team.

As a coach, she has been a part of the development of several DI, DII, DIII and NAIA players.  Her teams have been very successful with great accomplishments including: winning the Mideast Qualifier (1st place out of 128 teams), winning the Red Rock National Qualifier (1st place out of 200 teams with a 17s team playing up in 18s), winning a bronze (24th in the country) medal at nationals, a silver (17th in the country) medal at nationals, a 3rd place finish at AAU Nationals in 2014, a 3rd place finish at USAV Nationals in 2016, winning USAV Nationals in 2019, 5th place finish at 18s USAV Nationals (with her 17s team playing up) and a 5th place finish in 17 Premier at AAU Nationals in 2021.  She also coached the club's first ever All-Americans and now has had 4 All-Americans play for her.

Jacquie was a founding member of Shank You Volleyball Club. She has been coaching for over 25 years at Elkhart High School. As an assistant director, Jacquie will continue to be in charge of the Elkhart Feeder program run through NIVA and also is responsible for club uniforms, working with the head of the parent board and the fundraiser.  As a coach, Jacquie has coached the 14s travel team as well as her high school career.  At Memorial, she has brought her team to the state finals 2 times and has been a final 4 contestant several times.  She has won the conference championship as well as sectionals for several years. Jacquie earned over 700 career wins this season!  Many of her players have played at all levels of college and onto professional volleyball careers.

Kaitlyn is in her first year as the head coach at Penn High School.

Kaitlyn was well respected as a high school player, earning 2 state titles and the Mental Attitude Award her senior year for IHSAA 4A schools.

That continued on in her college career where she became very well known for her volleyball skills and IQ.  Kaitlyn went on to be a 4 year starter as an outside hitter for the IUPUI Jaguars. While there, her team won 3 conference championships and made it to the NCAA tournament in 2013.  Kaitlyn currently holds the record at IUPUI for most career solo blocks and kills, while ranking 4th
in career digs. During her Senior year she became the third NCAA player to surpass 1,500 kills and 1,500 digs in the 25 point rally era. She was named Summit League Freshman of the year, 4x Summit League 1st Team, Summit League MVP in 2015, 2x AVCA All American Honorable Mention, and received the Michael Carroll Scholarship and the Mel Garland Distinguished Student Athlete Award her senior year. Academically Kaitlyn was named to the Academic All-Summit League team, Dean’s List each semester, and direct admit to Kelley School of Business.

Through her impressive career, she has played for,  played with and coached with many high level coaches.  She continues to build connections in the college volleyball world. 

Her role at NIVA will be to help parents and players navigate the recruiting process with a more personal touch that we haven’t been able to do in the past! Her knowledge of where players skill may best help them fit will only further help our athletes find their home in college if that is their dream!  

Paul Koncir

DIRECTOR OF COACH AND PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

Paul Koncir is an assistant coach at Notre Dame and in his second year working with NIVA.

A seasoned coach and veteran tactician, Koncir brings a wealth of experience to his position in South Bend:
-2019-2021 as the Associate Head Coach at Michigan State University
-2017-2019 seasons at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where they earned its first ever bid to the  National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC) in 2019 after finishing with a 19-8 with a second-place finish in Conference USA in 2018.
-2010-2017 seasons at Indiana University as an Assistant and Associate Head Coach.  During his time on staff in Bloomington, he helped the Hoosiers to an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance in 2010, its finest season in program history.  Over his eight seasons he not only developed the all-time leaders in digs, blocks, and hitting percentage and the rally scoring leaders in assists and service aces at Indiana, but also mentored 49 Academic All-Big Ten selections.
-2006-2010  his first head coaching experience at Towson University.  In his four seasons guiding the Tigers, Koncir gathered two trips to the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championships, a top-100 recruiting class (2009), seven All-CAA selections, and a CAA Rookie of the Year.

Additionally, Koncir has had extensive coaching experience in men’s volleyball, serving as an assistant at George Mason and as the head coach of the Georgetown men’s team.

Koncir’s coaching experience also extends to the youth level. In 2005, he coached at both the boys and girls USA Youth Development Camp and worked in the USA High Performance Tryouts in 2006. From 2000-02, he was the head coach for the Girls 19U Northern Virginia Juniors, guiding the team to a Chesapeake Region Championship.

A 1999 graduate and volleyball letterwinner at George Mason, Koncir started every match his senior season and was second on the team in kills. Upon graduation, Koncir was a member of the USA Volleyball Chesapeake Region Championship team in 1998 and 1999.

Koncir and his wife, Kelsey, have two children, a daughter Remi and son Rex .
